Our History
Our shop’s long history dates back to 1915 with the birth of Amayak: to some a father, to some a grandfather.
The first to join the automotive world, Amayak became a mechanic at a very young age. His career saw him serve as a driver and a technician for the military during The Second World War.
After the war Amayak continued to work as an automotive technician. While operating his own business from home, his sons soon adopted his passion for the automotive industry. His grandchildren joined in the family passion and business shortly after.
We have been very proud to remain 100% family owned and operated business and to serve the City of New Westminster and surrounding areas since 1999 carrying on Amayak’s legacy. Today at Amayak Auto Service our goal is to make everyone feel like family in our shop and pass on a little bit of our history through every interaction with your vehicle.
